Voices Soft and Sweet
Today, boy do we need voices that are soft and sweet. I created this tag with a lot of Tim Holtz product and included a saying from one of his sticker sheets that reads ‘Voices soft and sweet.’ In this world right now, there are some voices that aren’t so soft and sweet. Sometimes our voices need to raise for certain reasons . . . certain reasons. Either way, what’s my tone? Am I being sweet? The world needs more sweet and less sour. Looking for other inspiration of other mixed media tags? You might enjoy THIS. Here’s what I used on the above tag and the simple how to:…

Sending Love with DIY Postcards
A couple of weeks back one of the gals in a very special circle of crafty friends mentioned that Mark Montano was doing a DIY Handcrafted Postcard Swap. The idea is to create your own postcards (ten to be exact), pay a small fee for handling, mailing and sorting, send to Mark and receive ten other postcards from around the world. It was a project to share a little love and care during these wild times in our world. Isn’t that kind of Mark Montano? I was really excited to be a part of the post card swap as it was a way to spread a little love. Here’s a…

Space Themed Junk Journal using Eileen Hull Dies
I’ve always loved learning about space. You know, the kind of space with stars, moons, suns, and more. My husband and I lived next to the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral for a couple of years. In fact, my daughter was born at Cape Canaveral Hospital. We saw night and day launches and learned so much. It was amazing. What a big wide beautiful universe we live in. It’s mysterious, amazing, and beyond comprehensible. I wanted the theme of my journal to be inspirational, uplifting and to be an encouragement. I wanted the journal to include a message to shoot for the stars, live a brave life, and reach…

Grateful for Smiles ~ Art Journal Page
I’m wondering if we took advantage of smiles from strangers in the past? Now, under a mask, we need to smile with our eyes, so to speak. Either way, there are ways we can convey a greeting such as a nod , a little wave, or a wink (if appropriate). I don’t know how many of you participate in the Ranger/Dina Wakley challenge. Each month both on Dina and Ranger’s website a prompt is posted. The challenge is to use the prompt and create with Dina Wakley media. You can create a tag, page, or anything. Post it with specific hashtags they provide. This month’s prompt is “I’m grateful for…
