An Evening of Gel Press Printing and Essential Oils
Join Bonnie and I for a fun evening of making resource cards, learning about the benefits of Essential Oils and creating with the Gel Press Gel Plate. Desire to learn how to make gel prints with a purpose? Here’s your chance. Hope you can join us next Friday, February 22. More details HERE. See below a few tag samples I created for the class. The wonderful thing is that each Gel Press print that is pulled is so very unique, just like you.

Become
While I am far from perfect, I do have the desire to be the best me I can be. I was shaped for a specific purpose, just as you where. This is exactly why we shouldn’t compare. Realizing that in order to Become the best me I can, I need to focus on truth. Not half of the truth, (that usually gets us in trouble) but the whole truth. In order to Become a purpose filled vessel that shares light and hope and encouragement through my story, I need to listen to the Voice of truth. Listening to the Voice of truth will set my course of direction. So often…

Gel Press Tag Flip Through
So I’m teaching a collaborative class coming up soon. I’ll be teaching the arty portion, while a friend will be teaching more about a different subject. I can’t wait to share more so stay tuned. Knowing that we will need to create several tags fairly quickly, I thought I’d use the Gel Press Gel Plate. I love my Gel Press! The following quick video is a flip through of some quick tags I created to use as bases for class samples (not completed tags). Wishing all a beautiful day and warmest creative wishes!

Wearing Words of Encouragement
As some of you know, our girl and I took a road trip to Montana. We planned a stop in Boise, Idaho for a few days to be a part of the Brave Girl Symposium and then we planned on heading up through Northern Montana to Glacier National Park and on into Canada before getting her settled for school in Bozeman, MT. Well, plans changed due to fires but our time in Idaho had moments of fun and friendship. It wasn’t without it’s own challenges with some health issues but we did have some fun moments and I was able to see old friends and meet new ones. Abigail and…

Breast Cancer Awareness Month – A Peek into my Chemo Art Journal
October is Breast Cancer awareness month and as most of you know, I am a breast cancer survivor of four years in November. I speak often for the American Cancer Society raising awareness and funds for those diagnosed and research. I have been sending out some reminders regarding ladies, doing your self checks and getting your mammograms if you are of age or at risk. Men, I’ve been sharing on social media to remind the wonderful ladies you love in your life to do the above; remind your mom, wife, friends and more. No health insurance; the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen organization and many more can get you…

The Strength in Scars
Scars . . . we all have them. Some are visible, some not. Some are emotional, burned onto our soul while others are there for the world to see. Some are scars we just see. Some we hide, some we can’t. No matter, scars are reminders of where we have been, what we’ve endured and how we’ve made it out with the choice to tell our story. It’s been not quite 3 1/2 years since I had a double mastectomy due to a breast cancer diagnosis. About a year after this major surgery and several surgeries after that, I endured some very deep emotional scars due to a tragedy that took place in our…

The Love of Wonder
Oh how I love my journals. They are my friends. When I’m feeling down or happy, I love to create in them and often what is inside pours out onto the pages of my journals. It was no different with this page I titled ‘Wonder’. I thought I’d share and would encourage you to think about the following . . . What is wonder? 1 wonder play noun won·der \ˈwən-dər\ : something or someone that is very surprising, beautiful, amazing, etc. : a feeling caused by seeing something that is very surprising, beautiful, amazing, etc. : something that is surprising or hard to believe We can live busy lives and…

Up to Something Artsy
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. One I was fighting off that nasty winter cold, family was in town for the holidays, boat parades, birthdays (my daughter turned 17 and my niece 2), and lots of other activities in between. But I’ve also got some fun artsy news. I had a friend reach out to me and ask if I was interested in participating in a project called Sketchbook West. Las Laguna Art Gallery in Laguna Beach hosted this fun project in 2015. In our sketchbook we’d sketch, paint, and create in our smallish book. From there we took some of the inspiration from our books and created larger pieces. CHosea…
