    With a new year in front of us, we often do an inventory of what we need or want to shed.     Lessons from Mister Rogers – Entering the New Year

    Leaving behind the old and embracing the new with less weight is something I think most of us want for a new year. I’m not sure how many of you have seen ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.’ There are so many lessons wrapped up in one movie, one true story. Fred Rogers was a man who walked the walk and showed us how forgiveness and kindness could change lives (young and more mature). Forgiveness releases the person who needs forgiveness as well as the person doing the forgiving. Each individual has value, even those that you may not like or who have a different opinion than you.     Fun Activities on New Year’s Eve

    For the last several years we head to one of my dearest friends home and play games until we countdown the new year. We then make some noise, toast with apple cider and we pray for the coming year. It’s a precious time with friends. This year I will be at home with a quiet evening with hubby recuperating from the flu. I am grateful however it’s just the flu and this too shall pass.     Some years are more difficult than others.  We all know that life holds ups and downs . . . it’s like a roller coaster.  But oh we do have the choice to scream or hold on during the adventure and enjoy the peaks. I Am so thankful for new beginnings. really praying and wishing all great blessing in 2015. Last year one of the hardest for us but even through the trials we can be thankful for how they mold us and for the miracles in the midst.
