Diving into the Word – Summer Bible Journaling

The Summer is all about diving into activities, a change in weather and all it has to offer, the swimming pool and more. Recently I’ve been working on getting healthier and the good weather that Summer brings helps with this process. I’ve been taking an Aqua Fit class that’s fun and beneficial. I was thinking about Bible Journaling and how it too is diving in but having fun! Diving into the Word of God to touch and guide our hearts and fun because Bible journaling is a fresh way to record what God is sharing with you in the margins of your Bible. I see Bible journaling also as a…

    Rough Day Kit

We all have rough days from time to time.  Days where things just don’t go as planned, or an unexpected, not so joyous event takes place. It’s Summer and our girl is home with us but while off to college in Montana, I knew there would be days she would miss family or just need a little pick me up. Quite a while ago, I received a cute little tin box called a ‘Rough Day Kit.’  Iy came empty and you were to customize it. I knew exactly what I was going to do with it . . . collect some things and send to our sweet girl at college.…

    Laguna’s Art Festival

I have never taken for granted the blessing of growing up and being surrounded by an art culture here in Orange County, California. You find art everywhere and in every culture. It is however, a treat to have grown up minutes away from Laguna Beach where artists reside, amazing galleries are open for viewing year round, and Laguna Beach’s Art Festival takes place year after year during the months of June through August. This Festival includes the world renown Pageant of the Masters (which I usually attend each year), the Sawdust Art Festival, Art A Fair and more. This is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to events.…

    Dreams Handmade Journal

Helen Keller said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” The above is so true. It’s important to hold our dreams and goals close to our hearts. It’s also important to put them in writing. I haven’t filled this little journal as of yet but see the cover I created. I plan on filling it with little reminders of ways I want to bring others a message of hope and love as well as things I hope to accomplish. I think it will take a while for me to fill this. I created it from cardboard and the Eileen Hull wrapped journal. I used…

    Planning at Work

I have a planner dedicated to home; chores, appointments and more. I also have a planner at work that I keep track of my projects, lists, to dos and more. I just thought I’d share with you the planner I have dedicated for work. I created all the clips and shakers you see with the exception of the Starbucks clip. I just thought I’d share. Being organized can be fun and pretty. Do you have a planner dedicated for work? Do you have a planner dedicated specifically to a certain aspect of your life? Warmest Creative Wishes,

Get Outside – What’s Unique to your Area

Hubby and I celebrated 28 years of marriage on June 22nd. It was a beautiful Saturday. We started the morning with a lovely time hanging out at home . . . cards and he gifted me with some gorgeous flowers. We headed to the Lake Forest Sun and Sail Clubhouse for some self-care and exercise. This is also where we had our wedding reception so many years ago. We headed to lunch, then went on to The Camp and The Lab in Costa Mesa. We visited Black Market Bakery and enjoyed the free smells and a drink. We ended at Crystal Cove State Park/Beach for several hours flying our kites…

    In My Planner

Just a few shots from my planner . . . And then I found the cutest Happy Planner Notebook that I think I’m going to use as a scrapbook or travel journal. It is just so cute. I traded out the ‘grey’ rings for metallic pink and I love it. I couldn’t pass up the most adorable puffy stickers either that were 1/2 off. The notebook was 40 percent off. Too cute. Warmest creative wishes,

    Time for Change

It’s hard to put yourself out there whether it be your art, the vulnerability of sharing a hurt or a journey. If you know me, I usually wear my heart on my sleeve and live pretty out loud. Well, I will be entering into a weight loss journey and I plan to share it with you. I may share photos or through art journaling. Either way, you are a part of my circle of support. It’s an embarrassing one that I’ve allowed myself to get to this point but I’m leaving the shame behind and embracing change. I hope to learn and change the way I think about food. I…
