Open Market OC

A relative shared with mom and I about Open Market OC located in the former Macy’s space of Laguna Hills Mall. I had the day off so Mom and I decided to check it out.

Bonus, there was a Farmer’s Market as well in the parking lot. Fresh produce, a hat vendor (score), fresh flowers, food, cheese, pasta, avocado oil and more. Oh the cheese! We split a Berry Something Crepe. It was an infusion of berries, a little lemon topped with graham crackers. It was amazing! The vendors were really nice. The Farmer’s Market is there every Friday. Check out some photos below.

We went into Open Market OC. There is furniture downstairs and individual crafters and vendors upstairs. I recognized some of the vendors as well. Some of the vendors are individuals I know from the planning world or in my flea market/vintage loving adventures. I meet a sweet gal who is a part of a mother daughter team. She makes tassels and pom poms, while her daughter has the clothing side of the business. Both were darling! You’ll see their booth below. This place is for crafters, shoppers, planners, vintage lovers and more. There is a great selection of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, planner items, fine art, vintage and antique items, old and new, and even a man cave space (pinballs and signs). It reminds me a little of the Pop-Up Etsy places we are seeing more often.

Our timing was right on! Today is the Grand Opening. Some prices were reasonable and some I found to be high, however a lot of things are handcrafted. It’s right off the 5 freeway and so worth checking out.

Happy Shopping!

Wow, Cheryl, great article and layout. I’m sure the people you spoke to yesterday would be grateful for the promotion of their products.
    It was fun!
