Right Now Monday – The Beauty of Young Hearts
If you missed the last ‘Right Now Monday‘ post , or wondering what Right Now Monday is about . . . . here it is . . . Right Now Monday Initial Post.
For me . . . Right Now, Today, this Monday . . . I am encouraged by the vitality and beauty of young beautiful hearts!
I so enjoy working with senior citizens. There is such beauty in their wisdom. I love watching so many of the seniors I work with use their gifts, talents and abilities later in life to serve their community and fellow man.
I also enjoy my time with young people. My daughter and I work each week with 1 1/2 – 2 year olds. What fun!!! Each age so unique and special. I love working with young people and admire their vitality and fresh look at life.
There is a tendency when we are teens to want to fit in and to conform. However, this past Friday night, I had four lovely young ladies over for a mini art canvas class. I had prepared a message encouraging them to know that their identity isn’t in the car they drive, the clothes they wear, the size they are, or anything of that sort. I encouraged them to choose some adjectives that spoke to their hearts about the truths spoken over them.
Each one chose something so unique and different. None of these girls had ever created a canvas. Oh the beauty in each of these pieces! Each one made their canvas their own. They tried different techniques, used different materials and thoughtfully considered what they wanted to remember and put down on their canvas. It was a beautiful process. Each canvas, as you will see, exhibits the personality, style and heart of that young lady. I love how the message spoke to each young soul . . .
- One chose Masterpiece.
- Another chose Love.
- Yet another chose Renew.
- Overflow.
Right Now, Today . . . I am thankful for those who enrich my life . . . I admire the beauty of those young in years as well as those who have lived long. Right Now, Today . . . I am grateful for these beautiful girls, as well as others, who are going to change the world for the better by sharing a message of beautiful love ; a message that we are all masterpieces so unique; remembering the hope of knowing that we can be renewed; and a reminder that because of the love we have received, we in turn can freely share (overflow) that love to others.
The next Right Now Monday I’ll be sharing a tutorial. I’ll share with you what you’ll need a few days prior and you can join in on art journaling your own thoughts.
If you click on one of the photos, the tiled gallery will turn into a gallery with larger photos that you can scroll through.
How about you this Monday . . . Right Here, Right Now . . . what do you feel? Are you grateful for something? Are you learning something? Feeling full of hope? Having a difficult time? Right Here, Right Now . . .
