Creativity and Health
Many of you have heard that creativity Is good for the mind and soul. Well we need things that will improve our mental health, state of mind, and soul during this crisis. I’ve been fighting pneumonia so when I have the energy, creating encourages me and boosts my spirit. I have been pondering a lot about the creativity that I see as we navigate through these uncharted waters and times. I’ve seen people get creative in showing kindness, making or securing supplies they need, sharing with one another, being safe but showing you care, protecting themselves, and more. I think a lot of businesses and great ideas will be born…

Quick and Easy Gift Bag – Using Your Stash
I’m all about using my stash and during the holidays, your stash can come in very handy. A couple of things I keep on hand regularly is plain kraft-colored bags, tulle, and small gifts. Pair these things together with Sizzix dies and the possibilities are endless. I wanted to share a quick tutorial for a cute handcrafted gift bag. You can take this same concept and make a matching card as well. I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz Bigz Die titled Reindeer Flight which someone gifted me a couple years ago. It was used but I loved it. Here’s the how to to make a stamp and quick and cute…

Disney Dreams Album
This little album is from my heart. While I wish I would have had more time to work on it, things have been hectic at home and work, I enjoyed creating this little wrap mixed media journal with a Disney theme. It was created with someone special in mind who is going through a medical challenge. This special someone enjoys taking trips to Disneyland. I am hoping it will be perfect to put some mini photos in there of a favorite trip to D-land. Here’s a peek at the album. Here are some supplies I used: Sizzix Wrap Journal Die, acrylic paint, Tim Holtz stamps, clips, dies, and ephemera, texture…

‘Queen Bee of Brave’ Tag
Went junk’in with the hubby on Sunday. We also made sure that we visited the ‘Bee Lady’ while we were at the flea market. The Bee Lady (not even sure that’s the business name) carries local honey. She also carries many types of honey infused with other things like pear and other fruit. The hubby uses local honey to often to help combat his allergies. While junk’in, I found some amazing old toy blocks (you’ll see those in the future), some cute mini lanterns that are rusty with the cutest stained glass cover. In addition to those treasures I found these darling vintage stamps so I decided to create a…

Tag, You’re It, Friend – Part Two
For the holidays, a group of crafty friends and I decided we would gift one another with handcrafted tags. It was a gift to the recipient but also to the giver. We even considered a favorite palette for each individual. I was excited to make the tags as personal as possible so included a photo of something dear to their hearts. I love these folks so I wanted to make the tags special. I thought I’d share with you the tags I gifted my dear friends. Here’s Part One HERE where I shared Sylvia and Tanya’s tags. Part two, I share Mary and Susan’s tag. Susan’s Tag. Supplies: Acrylic Paint,…

Handcrafted Christmas Cards
So I should have started Christmas cards in October. I did have an opportunity to create a few and I’m really enjoying card making once again. Below are a few cards I created with Tim Holtz, Ranger, and Growing Meadows stamps, Lawn Fawn dies, watercolors and other elements. Know that while you may not have received a hand created card, my warmest Christmas and Happy New Year wishes are coming your way. I guess you can consider this a digital version. I’m so grateful for your ‘presence’ in my life. May you experience peace and love this season and in 2019. Warmest Creative and Christmas Wishes,

The Original Rubber Stamp Show
Yesterday I made my way up to the ‘Original Rubber Stamp Show/Convention’ in Carson, California. It was a joy to see some friends. While it wasn’t a large show, there were certainly some great deals and a small section of some good stamp companies. Of course a highlight was Tim Holtz and Mario’s attendance at the show. As well, Dyan Reaveley demonstrated her products. The Stampers Anonymous booth was hopping! See photos from their booth and others below. Rubberneck Stamps had some darling stamps. Inky Antics . . . Here are a few additional vendors like Little Elaine and more. What creative place has your travels taken you?…
