Figures and Faces Art Exhibit * Laguna Beach * July 5th

Emotion can be expressed both on the human face and body. I’m thrilled to be just one of the artists that is involved in the 2018 ‘Figure and Faces’ art exhibit Las Laguna Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. If you’re a local, I hope you have an opportunity to visit. Now is a wonderful time to visit Laguna Beach during the Arts Festival and especially during Laguna’s First Thursdays Art Walk. The Art Walk takes place once a month on the first Thursday of each month and it’s a  wonderful time to peruse galleries and shops throughout Laguna Beach. It’s a lovely time to enjoy some appetizers, drink and art.

The piece I’ll be sharing for this Figures and Faces Art Exhibit is titled ‘Brave.’ I have never had any formal art training so sometimes it takes bravery to ‘put yourself out there.’ But my goal is to share a message of hope and to bring happiness to someone through art. I am reminded of what Jerzy Kozinski shared, “The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke.”

One of Las Laguna Gallery favorite exhibits and shows – Figures and Faces will run from July 5th to July 27th, 2018.

“All of our artists’ creations will examine the human face and/or figure, conveying the emotions and experiences of ‘being human’. You will find works both representational or abstract in nature.”
