12 Days of Sizzix – Day 7 – Last Minute Gifts

Who says you need a lot of time to make cool last-minute gifts? This Leather Sunflower Magnetic Charm is a perfect example of a last-minute gift that will be loved all year round. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Sizzix Big Shot or Switch
• Sizzix/Eileen Hull’s Bigz Sunflower Die
• Sizzix/Eileen Hull’s 3-D Textured Impressions Embossing Tablecloth Folder
• Aleene’s Tacky Glue
• Real Leather/Silver Creek Leather in different colors
• Water Mister

Here’s the How to:

• Using Eileen Hull’s/Sizzix Bigz Sunflower Die, cut different colors of Silver Creek Leather/Real Leather pieces.
• For the center and top of the flower, lightly mist the circular piece with water and place it in Eileen/Sizzix’s Tablecloth embossing folder and run through the Sizzix Big Shot or Switch.
• Stack the sunflower pieces, assemble the flower, and adhere the pieces with Aleene’s Tacky Glue.
• Glue a small strong magnet (which can be purchased at most major retail craft stores) to the back of the sunflower.
• Once dry, make sure you include a second magnet to place behind material to help the flower to stay on a favorite item. 

Include a little note to the recipient of the different places the charm can be attached to including a favorite bag, hat, shoes or anywhere the sunflower will stay put with the second magnet holding it in place. Tell the recipient that this charm is built to last since its made with durable leather.
