The Gift of Crafting Together
Saturday was a gift crafting with new and old friends. I had the pleasure of teaching a holiday make and take using fabulous Colorbox products. Check it out below.
It is always a gift to craft together. The laughs while creating with your hands is good for the heart. See below a couple ways to use this technique ad these products. Also see some crafters who enjoyed the make and take. It got very busy so these were the only crafters I was able to snap in a photo. Love their smiles. Wendy Crafts, you do an amazing job at your events. Thank you!
For the poinsettia tag below, here’s the how to:
Using Moonstone (blue) Dyestress ink pad, swipe it generously on a non-porous craft mat. Spritz with water and place tag on top of ink. Continue to repeat this process until you have desired amount of ink. Also do this with a white pigment Colorbox ink pad and then set aside tag to dry.
Do the same with the Fruit Punch (red) Dyestress ink pad and dip your poinsettia into the ink. A little goes a long way. Dry with heat tool. Stamp with a musical note stamp and permanent ink on top of the poinsettias. Layer and glue poinsettia pieces together starting with largest on the bottom and work your way up. Just a spot in the middle of the poinsettia is fine. Top with some glitter.
Repeat with Shamrock (green) Dyestress ink pad and dip the pine branches and the ribbon in the dye/ink. Dry with heat tool.
Tie ribbon around the top of the tag.
Stamp with a swirl stamp and Colorbox embossing ink and sprinkle Gold Sparkle embossing powder.
Adhere the branches and poinsettia to upper left portion of the card with Elmer’s glue.
Stamp Merry Christmas or Seasons Greetings and punch out the salutation with a Fiskars banner squeeze punch. Adhere with pop dots to tag.
Finish off with a little antique pin and a spritz of Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz or Limolicious Smooch. The more Spun Sugar Smooch you add, the more muted and antiqued your tag will look. Protect your tabletop by using Colorbox’s Color Catcher. Top on a present or use as an ornament or decoration. Enjoy.
Warmest creative and Christmas wishes,
