Easy Bag Upcycle
Do you have odds and ends, scraps of beauty, little pieces, bits and baubles in your art/craft area or studio? If you’re like me, there are all those pretty bits that I have a difficult time saying goodbye to. So, recently I washed a linen bag with a logo on it and when I took it out of the wash, the logo was gone. I needed to add some loveliness to this comfortable bag of mine so I grabbed some beautiful pieces, made some fabric flowers, brought out some stamps, used some tacky glue and started to simply add some dimension and fun to my bag. It’s my mixed media bag . . . in which I’ll also carry some mixed media tools and journals. Here’s how it turned out . . . Kind of shabby, a little bit grungie. if you want to create your own you can pick up a similar canvas bag at Hobby Lobby for about $6 with a coupon. Don’t want to create your own fabric flowers, purchase at a craft store and don’t forget to check the clearance isle. Enjoy!

Not a bag person but boy do I love these flowers. I’d put them on canvas and frame them!

What a cute and lovely idea. I love how you used old fabric to make the gorgeous flowers. Cute, cute, summer bag.
