A Brave Girl Share and Make and Take

I’m a regular attender at a crop in the city of Orange, California hosted by Laurie Rush.  I first came across this group of crafters when I was a Fiskateer and shared regularly with them.  That’s been several years.

Well, this month’s crop (a couple weeks ago) I brought a make and take to share the Brave Girl University news, my course, the others teachers teaching on amaziing subjects and love with them.  You can read more about Melody Ross and Kathy Wilkins and the movement HERE and HERE.

So I brought some fun paper dolls ‘Brave Girls’ originally from Vintage Street Market, added some wings (as every girl needs wings) and a creative beaded pin and a banner/words/brave statement that spoke to them.  I created several options for them to chose from and it was lovely seeing each gal create a different brave girl . . . different outfit, wings, and brave statement.  I loved hearing the stories too.  Some of the gals were creating the ‘brave girl’ for a friend at work that needed some encouragement, others were going to make it into a magnet on their refrigerator to pin it up and remind them each day of their bravery, and I placed my samples (put a paperclip on them) in my planner.

Here’s a little sample of my ‘brave girls’ . . .

And some that other sweet brave girls created . . .

Check out this cutie . . . looks like a little Dale Evans.

I’ll be taking this make and take on the road to some other stores so stay tuned.

Warmest creative wishes,
