Art Journaling, the Flea Market & an Update

Life has been busy recently with lots of ups and downs. We traveled to Minnesota where we explored waterfalls, visited dairy farms, cheese stores, a coffee shop in the woods near Duluth, held a memorial for my father in law, spent time with family, spent time at a lake house on Lake Minnetonka, and more. I also managed to get Bronchitis. Upon returning I lost a dear friend to cancer, attended a lovely wedding, and celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. It’s been a little wild. Whew.

I don’t know about you all, but I love the adventure of attending a flea market.. Whether to stroll and just view the treasures or the hunt for something special. I love giving something old new purpose. I shared my love for the flea market on a page.

Recently, some lovely artists sent me three items; a word flashcard, a pharmacy label, and a game score card, I created an art journaling page using those items and that is interactive. I sewed a little metal gate so that it opens and exposes a pocket. This pocket contains lots of photos from an flea market excursion that my mom and I had. My mom has always been amazing at finding treasures. Can you find the three items?

So whether a flea market, art journaling, walking to a waterfall, or a different adventure, I hope you take the time to do something fun, because ‘each day is a gift.’

Enjoy the journey.

    Cheryl,
This display is magnificent. You’ve done it again!
We’ve attended so many flea markets over the years, I couldn’t possibly count. We’ve also found so many treasures that we’ve been able to nicely decorate our homes.
Now that the pandemic is, hopefully, coming to an end, we can start our flea market excursions again.
