Capturing Memories in Your Planner

There are so many planners that I absolutely love ~ some that I own and some that I’d like to own.  I use certain planners for certain things as many planner girls do.  Oh the beautiful designs out right now.

I’m excited to review a new planner here in a week or so . . . stay tuned.  It’s in the mail and I’m thrilled to share more.

Today, I thought I’d share why I chose Heidi Swapps’s Memory planner this year.

Life can get so busy, right? Isn’t that why we need planners? In the midst of the ‘getting it done’ and ‘staying organized’, I still want to cherish and preserve the memories. The HS memory planner is designed to do just that.  I like her beautiful designs and products! They are darling! However, who can resist other cute planner stickers.

When preserving every day and special moments, Heidi’s planner really sets me up to do just that.  It’s easy to take a moment while in your planner and answer her cute journal prompts and record a memory. As well, her cute mini Polaroid Instamax inserts and quote cards are so precious, pretty and practical.

I’m always jumping outside the box however and I do take preserving memories one step further.  I enjoy creating little layouts through my planner which will be recorded for years to come.  Heidi leaves some pretty areas to do that.  I enjoy sketching, painting and more as well throughout my planner.  Preserving those precious moments are key for me and I must be able to do it on the fly. See example below.  I used some scrapbooking paper, Heidi Swapp frames and stickers, Reset Girl stickers, washi and Metallic Accents by Prima.

How about you? Is there a key feature you love about your planner? I’d love to know.  Wishing you warm and wonderful moments throughout your day!

Warmest creative wishes,

    Cheryl,

The page you shared is so beautiful! The picture is priceless! I am guilty of no longer printing pictures in this digital world! I think that makes what you are doing with your planner that much more special, as fewer pictures are printed and put in a book with any journaled memories. I don’t use a planner. I keep my appointments on a wall calendar. The few times I have thought it would be fun to use a planner, I would still use the wall calendar. I would open the planner to find the appointments had not been current for two months ? I may give it a try again and use it like you are doing, to keep memories as well as appointments. If it is fun, I might be more likely to keep up with it. X

      Sweet Marianne,
Oh yes, I hope you give it a try. I’ve tried all ways to keep my appointments however I have always gone back to a tangible planner. I love it as it serves lots of purposes. I also have a white board big calendar we use as a family so understand how awesome those can be. 🙂 It really is fun. Let me know if you do give it a try. There are so many great options and it doesn’t have to be expensive. You can use your scrapbooking supplies as well! Love using that stash! Sending warmest creative wishes my dear friend.
