Defining Yourself

It’s been almost two weeks since I’ve blogged and that’s due to sickness and one busy schedule.  However, I have been desiring to share with you what’s been on my mind.  The last week or so has been a week of visiting people from the past, family, new experiences and more.  I’m going through a lot of change at work . . . some exciting changes and a new path.  I had the lovely opportunity to catch up with a friend who I haven’t seen in over 10 years . . . who has grown into a beautiful young lady.  As well, my daughter has had some fun and new experiences.  I was able to see my cousin I get to see about once a year that an Exec. for Nascar.  Watching this man in his element is so much fun.  I used to babysit this 6’8″ guy and to see him grow in his gifts and talent is a blessing.

My daughter is getting her certification in scuba.  It’s been a joy to watch her grow through experiences!  It’s exciting!

I had the opportunity to do a bit of art journaling . . . so good for the soul.  I’ve been pondering the importance of continuing to grow, learn and define ourselves.  Now I don’t mean we don’t have a basis that stays the same . . . I know I am a Daughter of Heaven, I have purpose, I am imperfect but still usable, etc.  But defining ourselves; growing through the difficult and good . . . developing and choosing to allow the challenging, deep and heartbreaking or victorious and exciting experiences mold us into someone better for it.
